Two codification schemes have been prevalent in the small scale sector viz. the NIC and ITC (HS) codification schemes. SIDO provides you with the NIC-87 codification scheme and an enhanced ITC (HS) scheme where service codes from NIC-98 codification scheme have been appended. A comprehensive search facility has been provided that allows the user to search for the description of any code or search for NIC/ITC(HS)codes based on product description. In addition it shall allow users to get a mapping between the two codification schemes.
The search criteria provided can be used to obtain the description of any code and code type. It can also be used to find the codes based on product description and to map it with other type of code.
