NOTIFICATION
No. 34011/4/2005/P-III/A-(HE). The Right to Information
(RTI) Act came into force on 12th October, 2005. The
matter regarding disposal of requests for information
under the RTI Act in Small Industry Development Organisation
has been reviewed. For the efficient disposal of RTI
requests, it has been decided by the Competent authority
to designate following officers as Central Public Information
Officers/Appellate Authorities under the RTI Act in
the Headquarters office

2. It has also been decided that each Director, Small Industries Service Institute/Regional Testing Centre will act as the first Appellate Authority in respect of the CPIOs working in and under him. Similarly, the Principal Director/Director of each autonomous body under Small Industry Development Organisation will also act as Appellate Authority in respect of the CPIOs under him.
3. Earlier orders issued in this regard will stand modified to the above extent.
4. The above decisions will come into force with immediate effect.
