11. INFORMATION-DISSEMINATION

Information on markets, technology and competition shapes the decisions of industrial enterprises. It highlights emerging needs and opportunities and exposes threats. One of the important roles the Government can play is signalling, which will involve highlighting information and issues of relevance to individual enterprises. In the above context, a Data Bank will be set up in the Commissionerate of Industries and updated on a regular basis. Information from this Data Bank will be made accessible by all agencies concerned with the industrial promotion and entrepreneurs.

In addition to data collection, the State Govt. will periodically commission studies and researches on emerging issues. The findings of such studies will be shared with industry.
