To generate additional employment under Khadi and Village Industries programme as recommended by the High Power Committee (HPC) in its report submitted in July, 1994. |

4. Activities of the State Government |
The State KVI Boards which have been consituted under Act passed by respective State Legistation are actively involved in the implementation of this programme. They are empowered to sanction projects under KVIC's Margin Money Scheme upto Rs. 25.00 lakhs without the prior permission of KVIC.
Further the Department of Industries of the concerned State Govt. are also involved in promotional activities of the Margin Money Scheme. |
