The portal hosting the chat is an initiative under the SENET project of the Ministry of Small Scale Industries. SENET was conceived to provide for static, dynamic and interactive content to stakeholders by drawing in diverse groups of users as well as exciting and motivating entrepreneurial activity. Conceptualized and implemented with assistance from M/s. CMC Limited, SENET applications encompass a wide range of activities which include user friendly interfaces, online tracking of applications submitted to Government, office automation, questions answered in Parliament, project ideas, training, events, information about clusters, electronic newsletters and discussion boards. As befits a portal SIDO ONLINE is an entry gateway to a cornucopia of information posted on similar sites around the world. This is backed up by a highly committed and competent team engaged in content research and analysis so that the latest in international trends and thinking on SME issues becomes available to users.
